Meet Ariana

Working as a therapist with people of all ages is a responsibility I hold with great care. My approach to therapy is grounded in humility and nonjudgemental, genuine connection.

I integrate complementary therapeutic methods that have been proven to help people improve their short and long-term mental health. These approaches, known as “bottom-up” approaches to talk therapy, recognize that a stronger connection to one’s bodily and emotional experience is a key piece to therapeutic effectiveness, regardless of what someone needs support with. Learning to be present with what feelings and needs are arising is, I believe, perhaps the core skill for sustainable well-being, healthy relationships, and distress management. From there, we can discover meaningful insight into who we are and how to live a values-aligned life. Whether for a young child with Big feelings, a parent managing a struggling child, or an adult overwhelmed with anxiety, my integrated approach to therapy helps people feel better, stronger, and more resourced to meet daily life with confidence.

My training as a therapist is enriched by my background in public health, Buddhist and Jewish spiritual practice, early childhood education and summer camp leadership, and as a certified yoga and meditation teacher. In 2021, I lived at Plum Village, the lay-monastic community of Thich Nhat Hahn, and have a rich history of leadership roles in Jewish, Buddhist, and interfaith communities. I enjoy quilting, music, and time in nature.
